Christmas decorations

Christmas is less then a week away and there is still so much to do.   This is my Granddaughters first Christmas and her pile of gifts is growing.  It is lovely to have young children in the family again.  Its not the same once they grow up.  Still a few thing to make for neighbours and I came across this download I brought last year,  it is such an easy quick gift to make.

It is by a designer called Sandy Burchell and I have a couple of neighbours who will love it.

I am also trying my hand at knitting socks using four needles, almost finished them and will post a photo.

Carousel Christmas card

I love this carousel card and it folds flat, well it's about 2cm thick when folded but you can put it in an envelope to send and to pack away for next year as it is one that will come out every year .

There are five different sides and it was so easy to put together .

Instead of cutting the back out in coloured card I cut it all in white and used a set of scrapbooking paper, all the same colour but different views.

I cut this card using a Cricut Air but it is sold in many different files for different machines cricut, scanncut, svg, studio.  It is another one from SVGHUT and I brought it Here

I am so pleased with this card it came together so well and so quickly.

Romany Caravan gift boxes

I  love giving small presents and vouchers in handmade gift boxes.  Vouchers/gift cards in with some chocolates in a small box seem so much nicer then just a voucher/gift card on its own.  Here are two lovely Christmas Romany caravan gift boxes that you can add some wrapped chocolate and a gift card or a small present.

One in bright Christmas colours.  You can buy the  Ho Ho Ho Wagon gift box to print and make here

and there is one in softer Christmas colours, you can buy the Holiday Charm Wagon to print and make file here

I have also made the Violet Wagon to give to friends on their birthdays.

Halloween and a new blanket

The weather has suddenly changed and it is getting cold now.  Time to start a new blanket.  I've picked some colours for my new blanket.  I think I will call this my Heather one, the colours remind me of heather.

I'll keep you updated as I crochet it.

I tried one of the Make it Now projects from Cricut Access.  One for Halloween.  Was all going well until I looked at it the next day.  Even though I used 300gsm Adorable Scorable  from Hunkydory you can see where I glued the top layer on the left hand side.  I think I will have to cut another top layer and see if I can fix it.

I do love these frame pictures and there are more Halloween ones to make.

Football Dad

I found some images I had stamped/ printed.  This one is a digi stamp from the Crafters Companion Angelica and Adam double CD rom.   I coloured the image with Copic pens and die cut it with a Spellbinders die.  I cannot remember who made the Dad stamp but I stamped it onto some printed paper.  I layered some football backing paper onto a white card blank then added the stamped pieces.

Card receipe

Adam digi stamp from Crafters Companion
Copic pens
Dad word stamp
Football backing paper

Halloween Treat Box

I created this Halloween Treat Box in Cricut Design Space using their Happy Hauntings cartridge, which is part of the Access subscription if you have it.  Halloween is becoming more popular over here and it is nice to give the sweets in a Halloween box.  If you have Design Space you can click  Here  to go the the Project Primrose website and access the file to make the Halloween box.  You will need the Access subscription or the Happy Hauntings cartridge linked to DS to use it.

If you use the file I uploaded you will find the tombstone, bat and cat have been resized so they fit onto the box.

Festive Pop Up card

This card was made using a cutting file called Festive Pop Up card from  My SVGHut  This was the first time I had tried to use SVG files in Design Space.   I had the file a couple of weeks before I got up the courage to actually use it, silly I know.   But it was so easy, just upload the files and cut.  I will have to try this using some different colours of card.  I have some of their box cards and will have to try them soon as well.

I have only just started to use Design Space and want to learn more about it.  I wish I had used Design Space before, I am learning so much and have designed a few things.  I will post links to them soon.

Rose Fairy

Rosetta

I love the WeeStamps range and have lot of their digital stamps.  This one is called Rosetta.  I coloured her with Copic pens and added some glitter to her wings.  I die cut the image using one of the Spellbinders dies.  I layered some pink embossed card onto a white card blank and glued the coloured image onto it.  I added some punched butterflies, I coloured the bodies with a black copic pen..  A stamped sentiment and some paper roses finish the card.

Card receipe

Rosetta stamp from Wee Stamps
Copic pens  (Sorry forgot to make a note of the colours)
Spellbinders frame die
Butterfly Punch

Well Where has the time gone?

Its been a couple of years since I last posted, I cannot believe it ha been that long.  I have been crafting just lots of different ones not just stamping.  Life has changed as well.  My middle son started University last September, just starting his second year now. In February my first Granddaughter was born.  She is so beautiful I love her to bits.  Made crochet blankets for all the family and a few extra for home.  They are so easy to just pick up and do a few rows when I have time so I guess a few more will end up around the house.

My newest addiction is the Cricut Explore Air.  I have had a Cricut Create for years and years and love it for my scrap booking but the Explore Air is fantastic, learning so much from youtube.  Will show you some projects soon.  I have some cards made using my Cricut and will take photos and post them.

Before I finish this post I will add a photo of a few of my blankets
