More topper cards

A few more cards made with the toppers hiding in my cupboard,

Here is another window die, the Heartfelt Creations one with a Kanban
topper behind it and Marianne flourish dies behind a Kanban sentiment.  I also cut the backing card using a Spellbinders Grand die.

Here is another card using the same window and backing card but with the window shutters closed.  Looks a bit plain in the scan like this.

and another card using the same window and more Kanban toppers and sentiments.

This time the window is cut with mirri card and the rest of the backing card from the card I made yesterday.  I like this card and will have to see if I can get anymore of it.

Terrible weather

What terrible weather, deffinately not the weather to have a holiday.

Back to crafting.  I have not made a card for a couple of weeks but I will be back to normal soon.  I have a few to show you using my new dies and some toppers I have had for a few years.  Why I bought so many I don't know as I have hardly used any but they cannot stay unused.

The topper is a Kanban one from a few years ago and she is matted onto the Spellbinders Lacey Squares die and the Poinsettia is also a Spellbinders set of dies.  I think the Poinsettia one is going to be well used this year.  The backing card is also from Kanban.

Another Kanban topper put behind a window die from Cottage Cutz.  The sentiment is also from Kanban and put ontop of a Spellbinders die and the flourish's are cut from a Marianne die.  I printed the card used to make the base last year and I think it was from a Crafter's Companion CD.

I have LOADS more toppers and I am determined to use them this year, well maybe not all of them but I will use a good number of them.  They make good quick cards especially with the dies I have.

Cottage Cutz Spring Window die,

When you look at the challenge blog make sure you pop into their shop, there is so much there.  I am new digi stamps and only have a few at the moment but I will be buying some from there, so many to choose from.  Not only do they not take up crafty space but you can re-size them to fit your project.  I really must get more of them.

My card today is not made from a digi stamp but one from Artstamps, it was one of the first stamps I brought and I have used it many times.  The branch stamp is separate and is from Carolines.

It is coloured with ProMarkers and made into an easel card.

Punch Drunk

Cute Card Thursday  blog has 'punch drunk' as the challenge this week.
You can either use punches or drink (punch) inspired card.
I have used some daisy punches and a stamen punch on this card with a cute stamp from Sheena's A little bit sketchy range.

The main card is cut using a Spellbinders Grand labels One die and I have coloured the little girl with ProMarkers and I think the backing paper is from one of Joanna Sheen's Cd's.  I have loads of paper that I have printed from Cd's that I am trying to use them up before I print more.  I also used some cloud backing paper that I had printed to make the daisies and used some pearlescent card the same as the base card for the stamens and mat for the stamped image.  A Lili of the Valley sentiment stamp finishes the card.

Spring Bringer

To celebrate my new card blog I will be having a giveaway soon.  I have three of Jayne Nestorenko's Cute Companion stamp plates to giveaway to one of my follower's.  I will post the Candy post in a day or two so make sure you pop back to enter.

I found a new digi stamp company, well new to me Wee Stamps  the stamps are very cute and of course I had to buy some and I know I will be buying more of them very soon.  I also found a new challenge blog

Their first challenge is 'All that Glitters' and as I was just finishing this card I just had to enter.  Her wings and the flower centre's have glitter on them.

Battery has gone in my camera and the scanner did not want to scan this card properly as the base card is white so I had to put my A4 cutting mat behind it.  Never mind it's finally scanned.

I coloured the image with Copics and wanted to give the clothing a frabricy (is that a word LOL) look so once I had coloured it I covered the outfit with the blender pen and it does make a difference although it is not really noticeable in the scan and neither is the glitter   : (      Lots of different Spellbinder dies, a Marianne die and some punches.

Happy Birthday Tom

Today's card is for an X-Box fans.  It is going to be entered into the Lexi's Creations Challenge # 66
The challenge is 'For the man/boy in your life'.

As you can see from today's card it was specially made for Tom

I wanted an unusual shape to the card so just cut it at an angle along the bottom.  The digi stamp is from Mo's digital pencil and is called  'Game On'. I coloured it with Copic's still not 100% sure if I like Copic's or Sprtrum Noir pen's best yet.  I think the paper is from a Joanna Sheen CD but I cannot remember which one.

Life is Wonderful

Another   Lili's little Fairies  challenge, I only just made it in time for the last one so this time I am making sure I do not leave it to the last minute again.

I had trouble taking a photo of this and had to take it into the garden but as the little boy is laying against a tree it seems appropriate.
I used the same Centura Pearl card to cut the Splendid Circle die, Edgeabilitie die and some leaves from the Floral Flourishes die and used Broken China Distress Ink to create the clouds on the main picture.

Card recipe

Anything but square

The Lilie's Little Fairies challenge is Anything but Square this week.

I made a Father's day card for one of my boys to give to Dave.  I was going to make the circles all line up in the middle but they looked like a bulls eye. LOL

I coloured the image with Spectrum Noir pens and used the Spellbinders Circle and Grand Circle dies.

Card Recipe

Lili of the Valley 'Happy Times' stamp.
Spectrum Noir pens.
Spellbinders Standard Circles Large.
Spellbinders Grand Circles.
Sentiment stamp from Crafter's Companion.

Polkadoodles doolded challenge

I have only recently discovered Polkadoodles, yes I know where have I been!  I love the CD's and the digi images are wonderful.

The challenge this week is to doodle a border or element, here is the challenge Polkadoodles challenge 21

and here is my easel card

I 'doodled' tiny stitches around the edges of the middle green scalloped circle.  I would have put pearls in the centre of the flowers but I have made this card for a little girl and don't like putting gems/pearls on small children's cards.  I coloured the little girl with Spectrum Noir pens.

Card Recipe

Polkadoodles Candy Doodles CD.
Circle sentiment from Lili of the Valley.
Spectrum Noir pens.
Spellbinders Large Scalloped Circles Grand die.

Copic challenge

I love colouring in with alcohol pens and I have just brought some Copic Ciao pens.  I do have the Spectrum Noir pens already but loved how Mel Heaton used the Copics on TV the other day.  I coloured an image in with both just to see how each looked.

This card is for the Copic challenge blog

I used the Copic image to make the card mainly because it looked better on the card I had already coloured with Spun Sugar distress ink.

The little girl image is from the Sugar Plum Daisy CD from Polkadoodles.  The first time I have used digi stamps but I love them and will be using them more.  I used 3D pads to fix the image to the card.  The Cheery Lynn swirl die and the Joy card stand die also came this week so used both of them as well.  The card does stand on it's own but because of the shape it is a bit wobbly so used the card stand.  I did cut the stand twice and glued both pieces together as the card was a bit heavy for just one layer.

Here is the same image coloured with Spectrum Noir pens.

I added the little flowers because one of the green pens 'pooled' ink and rather then throw it away I popped the flowers on with a little pearl in the centre of each one.  All ready for another card.

Card recipe

Sugar Plum Daisy CD
Grand Scalloped Oval Spellbinders die
Lacey Ovals Spellbinders die
Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die
Joy card stand die
Copic pens

Paintbox Poppets

When I'm not stitching I'm card making or scrapbooking so I thought it was about time I blogged some of my cards.  Well actually I put this card on my stitching blog and someone said I should so here goes.

The decoupage is from the Paintbox Poppets CD from Crafter's Companion and the seaside backing paper is from Joanna Sheen's Faye Whittaker CD.  I used Go-Kreate dies to cut the card and the sentiment stamp is from Lili of the Valley.
